Sendinblue becomes Brevo. We got new colors, a new name, and a new look. Now, we are Brevo.

You don't need to take any action on your end, but we understand that you may have some questions about our rebranding. To help you find the information you need, we've put together a list of frequently asked questions that address most of the inquiries you may have.

🆕 Questions regarding the rebranding

Why did you rename?

We renamed to express a major business evolution: our product simply outgrew our name. Over the past years, we’ve added more features to the Sendinblue platform and innovated to meet our clients' needs.

Today, we’re no longer just an email platform, we’re much more than that - we’re a full CRM Suite. So you see why the "send" in Sendinblue no longer describes our offer.

This new name and brand are here to facilitate the transition and to align with the changing needs and preferences of our customers.

Was Brevo acquired by Sendinblue?

No, Brevo is Sendinblue. Brevo is the evolution of Sendinblue from merely an email platform we created 10 years ago to a full CRM Suite including email, SMS, WhatsApp, chat, meetings, sales tools, and more.

What does the name stand for? Why Brevo?

We knew we wanted a name that is as simple and accurate as our platform. Brevo comes from the word Bravo, a word that celebrates success — the success of our clients and our confidence in their ability to grow. We have given it more energy and made it unique by replacing the "a" with an "e".

What has changed in your offer?

The offer hasn’t changed with the rebranding, but it makes it easier to understand that we evolved from our email marketing focus to other features and business verticals such as:

  • Marketing platform: Email, SMS, WhatsApp, Landing pages, Facebook Ads, and Sign-up forms. Brevo lets you create brilliant campaigns of all shapes and sizes.
  • Sales platform: Deal tracking, Pipeline management, Meetings. Never miss a window. Know who your leads are and where the opportunity lies.
  • Conversations: Live chat, chatbot, Shared inbox (email, socials). Strike up meaningful customer conversations with our personalized chat tools.

No, our prices and business model remain the same. You can refer to our pricing page for more information.

What is BrevoPlus?

BrevoPlus is our Enterprise offer. With BrevoPlus, you can benefit from tailored onboarding, a dedicated success manager, and specialized technical support. Learn more about BrevoPlus on our website.

Did the platform change?

We have a fresh new look and navigation menu to facilitate the use of the different features. Everything you know and use is still there, just arranged on the left-hand side of the interface.

Plugins

Do I need to update my plugins?

No, you do not need to update your plugins. All connections remain active, as well as the plugin.sendinblue.com domain. If you need to whitelist a domain to build a connection, we recommend you add plugin.brevo.com to your whitelist.

Will my abandoned cart emails still work?

Yes, your abandoned cart emails will still work.

Dedicated IPs

Do I need to update my dedicated IP records?

No, you don't need to update your current dedicated IP records, NS records, or IP ranges. The DNS entry for non-configured IPs remains mailinblue.com.

Has my dedicated IP address changed?

No, your dedicated IP address hasn't changed.

Payment and invoicing

Do I need to update my finance department?

No, you do not need to update your finance department as the invoicing company name has not changed. You will still be invoiced by Sendinblue, and charges will still appear as Sendinblue on your bank statement.

Do I need to change my SEPA payment?

No, you don't need to change your SEPA payment as the invoicing company name has not changed. You will still be invoiced by Sendinblue, and charges will still appear as Sendinblue on your bank statement.

Legal

Is Brevo GDPR-compliant?

Yes, Brevo is GDPR-compliant. There is no change to the data storage locations.

Is the DPA still valid?

Yes, the DPA is still valid. No action is required on your side.

Meetings

My meeting links contain "Brevo", are they still valid? Will they still work?

Any existing meeting links will remain active with meet.sendinblue.com/ and be redirected to brevo.com. Newly generated links will automatically move to meet.brevo.com/.

SMTP relay

Do I need to update my SMTP settings?

No, you do not need to update your current SMTP settings. The connection remains active if you're connected via smtp-relay.sendinblue.com.

Will my emails still send through SMTP?

Yes, your emails will still send through smtp-relay.sendinblue.com. 

Tracking script

Do I need to change the tracking script on my website?

No, you do not need to change to the tracking script and all events will still be sent to Brevo.

API

Do I need to update my integrations?

No, you do not need to update your integrations. No immediate action is required from your side. However, we strongly encourage you to migrate to api.brevo.com/v3.

Are my plugins still connected?

Yes, your plugins are still connected.
