Mailjet integration - Import and update your contacts to migrate to Brevo

Migrating your contacts from one app to another can be tedious, and you may need some time to set up Brevo before you fully migrate. An easy way to smoothly migrate from Mailjet to Brevo is to use our Mailjet integration which allows you to easily import and sync your Mailjet contacts to Brevo.

About the Mailjet integration

The Mailjet integration for Brevo is free. It allows you to sync your contacts from Mailjet to Brevo in real time, which means that:

  • Your existing and new contacts are imported from Mailjet to Brevo.
  • If you update your contacts in Mailjet, the changes are reflected in Brevo and vice-versa.
  • If you blocklist your contacts in Mailjet, the changes are reflected in Brevo and vice-versa.

Before you start

  • Sign up for a Brevo account. Depending on your needs, you can choose a free or paid plan. To learn more and choose the best plan, check our dedicated article About Brevo pricing plans.
  • Make sure your Mailjet contact list is complete and clean and that it only contains contacts who consented to receive updates from you. 
  • Retrieve your Mailjet account API key and Secret key.

Step 1: Set up the Mailjet integration

To sync your Mailjet contacts to Brevo, start by setting up the Mailjet integration:

  1. Click the account dropdown > Plugins & Integration.
  2. In the App Store, select the Mailjet contacts integration.
  3. Give a name to the integration.
  4. Click Create Integration.

Connect your Mailjet account to Brevo

Connect the integration to your Mailjet account to retrieve the data of your contacts: 

  1. Click Connect your account.
  2. Give a name to your authentication.
  3. Enter your Mailjet account API key.
  4. Enter your Mailjet Secret key.
  5. Click Proceed. Your Mailjet account is now connected to Brevo.
  6. Click Continue.

❗️ Important
You can only select one contact list per Mailjet integration created.

Select the Mailjet list you want to import to Brevo: 

  1. Select in the dropdown the Mailjet list you want to import to Brevo. 
  2. Check the box to confirm that these contacts have given you their explicit content to receive your communications.
  3. Click Continue.

Map your data

💡 Good to know
It is mandatory to map at least the Email or SMS field. Note that custom fields won't be imported.

Indicate how Brevo should match the data from your Mailjet fields to your Brevo contact attributes:

  1. From the Mailjet Attributes column, select in the dropdown list the Mailjet data fields you want to map to your Brevo contact attributes. To ignore an attribute, choose Do not import from the dropdown list.
  2. Click Continue.

Select in which Brevo list you want to import your Mailjet contacts:

  1. In the Select a list tab, select the existing list in which you want to import your Mailjet contacts.
  2. Click Continue.

Save your integration

To activate the integration, click Save and activate. You will be redirected to the My Integrations page, where you can view the newly created integration.

💡 Good to know
Click Save and keep inactive to keep the integration as a draft for now. 

Part 2: Check your contacts

Now that you have connected and configured the Mailjet integration in Brevo, your Mailjet contacts will be imported into Brevo. The sync process may take several minutes depending on the number of contacts to import. You will receive an email once the import and sync of your Mailjet contacts to Brevo are done.

Once you receive the email, access the list by going to Contacts > Lists and choosing the folder in which you created it. You will see that your Mailjet contacts details have been added to the list of contacts you selected during the Mailjet integration setup:
