Brevo allows you to:
- add admin users to help you manage your Admin account.
- add users in several sub-organizations at the same time directly from your Admin account.
Add a user
- Go to the Users tab.
- Click Add a user.
- Enter the email address of the user you want to add and click Continue.
- Select Admin user or Sub-organization user and click Continue.
- Admin user: helps you manage your Administration account.
- Sub-organization user: helps you manage your sub-organization accounts.
- Select the permissions that you want to give to the user:
- Select the sub-organization group(s) you want to give the user access to. If you don't select any group, the user can manage all sub-organizations within every group. To learn more, check our dedicated section in our article Create sub-organizations from your Admin account.
- Click Continue.
- Select the type of permissions you want to give to the admin user. To learn more about the permissions available for admin users, check our dedicated section.
- Click Send invitation.
Once your invitation is sent, it will be pending until accepted by the user. While they're still pending, you can Invite again or Cancel invitation.
- Select All access or Custom access. To learn more about the permissions available for sub-organization users, check our dedicated section.
- Click Confirm permissions.
- Select the sub-organizations you want to associate with the user.
- Click Continue.
- Review the settings and click Send invitation.
A separate invitation will be sent for each sub-organization you associated with the user. Once your invitations are sent, they will be pending until accepted by the user. While they're still pending, you can Cancel invitation or Resend invitation.
Edit the permissions of a user
Admin users
Once a user has accepted an invitation, you can edit their permissions or revoke their access to the Administration account:
- Go to the Users tab.
- In the Admin users tab:
- Click the backward arrow next to a user to revoke their access.
- Click the pen and sheet icon to edit the permissions that you want to give to the user.
Sub-organization users
Once a user has accepted an invitation, you can edit their permissions or revoke their access to the sub-organizations:
- Go to the Users tab.
- In the Sub-organizations users tab, click the pen and sheet icon next to a user.
💡 Good to knowYou can also click the name of a sub-organization in the Sub-organizations column to access the permissions of the sub-organization. - For the Active users (when they have accepted the invitation), you can either:
- Revoke permissions: Toggle off the sub-organization you want to revoke for this user.
- Edit: Select the permissions that you want to give to the user. To learn more about the permissions available, check our dedicated article about user permissions in Brevo.
Custom permissions for Admin and Sub-organization users
You can select the permissions that you want to give to the Admin or sub-organization user when you create them or edit their permissions. Click the following tabs and expand the corresponding accordions to learn more about permissions available for Admin users and sub-organization users.
This permission allows users to invite additional users to the account, cancel an invitation, and customize their permissions.
Note that even without this permission, users can still view the list of users available in the account.
This permission allows users to create sub-organizations.
This permission allows users to edit and delete sub-organizations.
There are multiple permissions for Group management:

Create group(s)
This permission allows users to create sub-organization groups. -
Edit, delete group(s)
This permission allows users to edit and delete sub-organization groups.
This permission allows users to access and use API keys within the account.
This permission allows users to manage the plan, billing, and payment information of the admin account on behalf of the account owner.
Note that with this permission, users will also be able to invite additional users to the account, cancel an invitation, and customize user permissions.

Download data
This permission allows users to download the data from a dashboard or a data tile to share or store it. -
Create alerts
This permission allows users to create alerts on dashboards or data tiles to receive real-time updates.

Explore & Create
This permission allows users to explore data and create custom analytics dashboards.

My Looks
This permission allows users to manage and view Looks.

General |
You can give access to All general features or to specific ones only:
There are multiple permissions for Contacts:

View
This permission allows users to view contacts and their information (attributes, lists, etc.). -
Create/edit/delete contacts
This permission allows users to create new contacts, edit their information (attributes, lists, etc.), and delete them one by one.
Note that without this permission, users cannot manage the Test list used for email campaigns. -
Import contacts
This permission allows users to import a list of contacts and edit their information (attributes, lists, etc.). -
Export contacts
This permission allows users to export contacts as a CSV file (segmented contacts export, lists export, and openers and clickers export in campaign reports). -
Lists, segments, and attributes management
This permission allows users to create, edit, and delete contact lists, attributes, and segments. -
Contact forms
This permission allows users to create, edit, and delete contact forms.
There are multiple permissions for Companies:

Create/edit/delete owned companies
This permission allows users to create, edit, and delete their own companies. -
Manage companies from other users
This permission allows users to edit and delete the companies of other users. -
Settings
This permission allows users to manage companies settings.
Note that users can only have permission to manage companies of other users if they have permission to manage their own.

This permission allows users to access and use API keys within the account.

This permission allows users to add and remove authorized IPs for API calls.
Marketing platform |
You can give access to All Marketing features or to specific ones only:
There are multiple permissions for Email campaign:

Create/edit/delete
This permission allows users to create, edit, and delete email campaigns. -
Send/schedule/suspend
This permission allows users to send, schedule, and suspend email campaigns. Note that without this permission, users cannot requeue email campaigns.
Note that even without these permissions, users can still view email campaign previews and report data.

This permission allows users to create, edit, and delete SMS campaigns. -

This permission allows users to create, edit, delete, and share automations with other Brevo accounts. -
Activate/deactivate/pause
This permission allows users to activate, deactivate, and pause automations.

This permission allows users to access the Settings page, where you can find the installation procedure and script for the Brevo tracker.
Note that even without these permissions, users can still view the automations.

Schedule/pause
This permission allows users to schedule and pause Facebook Ads.

This permission allows users to view, create, edit, and delete push segments.
Transactional |
You can give access to All transactional features or to specific ones only:

This permission allows users to access all pages under Transactional > Email and to manage the settings (SMTP configuration, transactional webhooks, etc.). -
Preview/resend/delete logs
This permission allows users to view template previews, resend transactional emails, and delete logs.
Conversations |
You can give access to All conversations features or to specific ones only:
There are multiple permissions for Conversations:

View all chats/pick new chats/manage assigned chats
This permission allows users to view all chats, pick new ones, and manage their assigned chats. -
Manage settings/installation
This permission allows users to manage chat settings, install the chat widget, and connect email and social media.
Sales platform |
You can give access to All Deals features or to specific ones only:
There are multiple permissions for Deals:

This permission allows users to create and edit their own deals. -
Delete owned deals
This permission allows users to delete their own deals. -
Manage deals and tasks of other users
This permission allows users to edit and delete the deals and tasks of other users.

Settings
This permission allows users to manage notifications, deals, and pipelines settings.
Note that users can only have permission to manage deals and tasks of other users if they have permission to manage their own.
