Google Ads integration (by Brevo) - Sync your Brevo segments to Google Ads audiences

Connect your Google Ads account to Brevo and transfer data from Brevo to Google Ads. Google Ads allows you to run ads on Google search results, YouTube, Gmail, Google Maps, and more. Sync your Brevo contacts, create custom audiences in Google Ads, and target new potential customers with similar characteristics to your existing Brevo contacts.

About the Google Ads integration

The Google Ads integration for Brevo is free. It enables you to sync your Brevo segments to corresponding Google Ads audiences, which you can precisely target with ads across Google search results, YouTube, Gmail, Google Maps, and more. 

Additionally, you can create lookalike audiences to reach new potential customers who share characteristics with your existing Brevo contacts.

❗️ Important

Only the contacts' email addresses will be synced to Google Ads.

Before you start

Step 1: Set up the Google Ads Integration

Begin by setting up the Google Ads integration:

  1. Go to the Google Ads integration setup page.
  2. Name the integration.
  3. Click Continue.
  4. Select Sync Brevo Segments with Google Ads Audiences.

Step 2: Connect and choose your Google Ads account

Connect and choose the Google Ads account you want to sync to Brevo:

  1. Click Log in to Google Ads.
  2. Log into the Google Ads account from which you want to sync your contacts to Brevo.
  3. Click Continue.

  4. From the dropdown, select the Google Ads account you want to use.

  5. Click Use this account.

Step 3: Select the Brevo segments and Google Ads audiences to sync

❗️ Important
Make sure you have already created the segments you want to sync with Google Ads. If not, exit the integration and create the segments first. Once done, you can return to the integration. Select the existing Brevo segments you want to sync and the corresponding Google Ads audiences:

  1. From the Brevo segment dropdown, select the segment you want to sync.
  2. From the Google Ads audience dropdown, select the Google Ads audience where the contacts from your Brevo segments should be synced. If no audience is available, click Create new audience to create a new one.
  3. (Optional) Click Sync another segment to select additional segments and audiences to sync. 
  4. Click Map Audiences.

Step 4: Set the sync frequency

Manage the frequency at which the integration should sync the contacts in your Brevo segments to your Google Ads audiences:

  1. From the Select a sync frequency dropdown, select the frequency at which the contacts in your Brevo segments should be synced to your Google Ads audiences. You can select one of the following frequencies:
    • On demand 
    • 1 day
    • 7 days
    • 30 days

  2. Click Set frequency.

Step 5: Confirm the consent of your contacts

Before syncing your Brevo segments to your Google Ads audiences, we require confirmation of consent from your contacts:

  1. If you are marketing to contacts in the EEA (European Economic Area) or UK (United Kingdom), click Yes. Otherwise, click No and proceed to Step 6: Sync your Brevo segments and Google Ads audiences.
  2. Only contacts who have granted consent for ad targeting can be synced and imported. If your contacts meet this condition, check the I agree to only send audiences to Google Ads that have granted consent for ad targeting box.

    ❗️ Important
    If any of your contacts do not meet this condition, ensure you clean your contact list by removing those contacts before restarting the integration setup.

Step 6: Sync your Brevo segments and Google Ads audiences

Click Save to begin the synchronization of your Brevo segments and Google Ads audiences. The duration of this process may vary depending on the number of contacts in your Brevo segments. You will receive a notification in your Brevo notification center 🔔 once the sync is complete.

Step 7: Run ads and track your campaigns' performances

Once the sync of your Brevo segments and Google Ads audiences is complete, you can begin running ads that target your Google Ads audiences, as well as new potential customers who share similar characteristics with your existing Brevo contacts. You can then track how your ongoing campaigns perform.
