FAQs - How do monthly and yearly plans work?

When subscribing to a Brevo paid plan, you can choose a monthly or yearly plan. Below are the specificities of each type of plan, so you can choose the one that best suits you ⬇️.

Good to know

Your billing date corresponds to the date you first subscribed to a Brevo paid plan. You can see it in your Billing History. The example below shows the billing for a yearly plan:

❓How am I charged?

Monthly plan Yearly plan
You are charged each month on your billing date. If you subscribe to multiple monthly plans, you will be charged each month for all plans at once on your billing date. 

When you subscribe to a yearly plan, you are immediately charged for one year minus the 10% discount

Mix of monthly and yearly plans

If you subscribe to multiple plans, you can choose to be billed monthly for one plan and yearly for another. For the monthly plan, you are charged each month on your billing date, and for the yearly plan, you are immediately charged for one year minus the 10% discount

❓How are my credits topped up? 

Your credits are topped up every month on your billing date, where you're on a monthly or yearly plan.

➡️  For example
If you subscribe to the Marketing Platform - Starter plan with 20,000 emails/month on March 14, 2025, you will receive 20,000 email credits on the 14th of each month. Unused credits from the previous month do not roll over and expire at the end of each billing cycle.

❓When is the plan renewed?

Monthly plan Yearly plan

Your subscriptions are automatically renewed each month on your billing date.

Yearly subscriptions are automatically renewed each year on your billing date.

❓Can I switch to a monthly or a yearly plan whenever I want? 

💡 Good to know
Only the owner of the account can access the My plan page. If you don’t see My plan in the dropdown or can't access the page, contact the person who created the Brevo account.

To switch between a monthly and yearly plan, you first need to cancel your current subscription. The cancellation will take effect at the end of your billing period. Once your subscription is canceled, you can choose a new plan with your preferred billing frequency from the My Plan page.

If you have multiple plans, you will need to update each one individually.

❓Can I cancel my subscriptions?

You can cancel your monthly or annual plan at any time. Your plan will be canceled on your next billing date, and you can use your remaining credits until then.

If you want to cancel multiple plans, you'll need to cancel each plan individually.
