Can I include links or images in my SMS messages?

🔗 Links

You can include links in your SMS messages. We recommend using a URL containing your business domain or aligned with your brand.

Brevo automatically shortens URLs to save space in your SMS content. You can deactivate this option anytime. To learn more, check our dedicated article Create an SMS campaign.

❗️ Important
Deactivate the Automatically shorten links option when creating your SMS campaign for the USA or Canada from Brevo to prevent it from returning a soft bounce.
The use of URL shorteners in SMS messages is not recommended for shared domains as it may affect the deliverability of your messages and result in hard bounces.

🏞️ Images

The MMS feature is currently available to users in the U.S.A. and Canada who have registered for a toll-free number via Telenyx. Only recipients in the U.S.A. and Canada will receive the complete MMS. Other recipients will only receive the text part as a regular SMS. To learn more, check our dedicated article Add an image to your SMS campaigns (MMS).

In other countries, images are currently not supported in SMS messages.
