What is Cohort?
Cohort is a Social Engagement Platform that augments your existing marketing tools with modern engagement and loyalty experiences. Thanks to its intuitive experience builder, Cohort allows you to combine challenges, rewards, and gamified experiences for the audience of your choice, connecting seamlessly with social media platforms like Instagram, TikTok, Strava and other applications, to engage your customers wherever they are.
With Cohort, you can:
- Launch challenges to engage your audience.
- Create and distribute rewards to incentivize customer behavior.
- Collect and analyze user data to better understand your customers.
- Share a challenge via a dedicated landing page that can be customized to match your brand, with no IT requirements.
- Gather multiple challenges in one branded space to create a comprehensive loyalty hub for your audience.
Why use Cohort?
Cohort lets you turn real customer behaviors into trackable loyalty actions. By connecting your social accounts to Cohort, you can set up challenges that reward your customers for actions they take online. Each action is verified through the platform's own API, so your loyalty program is based on real, trusted engagement data.
- Follow your profiles: Reward users for following you on TikTok, Instagram, or subscribing to your YouTube channel.
- Interact with your content: Detect and reward likes, comments, and reposts on specific TikTok or Facebook posts, or comments and likes on YouTube videos.
- Mention your brand: Verify that a user has posted a TikTok with a hashtag mentioning your brand (e.g. #MyBrand) or tagged your brand in an Instagram or Facebook post.
- Show commitment: Check that a user has added a keyword (e.g. your brand name) to their TikTok bio.
- Showcase your content: Embed your YouTube videos or Spotify playlists directly inside the challenge experience page.
- Sync back to Brevo: Export all events from Cohort to Brevo in real time to trigger automations, update contact profiles, and refine your segments.
How can I use Cohort with Brevo?
Cohort integrates with Brevo, allowing a two-way data sync between the two platforms. Expand the following accordions to learn more about what you can do with the integration:
- Automatically sync Brevo contact attributes to Cohort as user properties in real time, continuously enriching your loyalty audience data.
- Sync Cohort user data and attributes back to Brevo automatically, ensuring your contact database stays up to date with the latest engagement insights.
Use your Brevo contact lists as the audience for a Cohort challenge, ensuring that only the right contacts can participate in your campaigns.
Export user events from Cohort (such as completing a challenge or earning a reward) to Brevo in real time, and use them to trigger automation workflows, segment your contacts, or power your Brevo Loyalty program rules.
🚀 Get started with the integration
To connect Cohort with your Brevo account and configure the synchronization options:
-
Align on what should sync
List the fields to sync from Brevo to Cohort (import) and from Cohort to Brevo (export). -
Prepare your Brevo contact attributes

Connect Cohort to Brevo
Click the account dropdown and select Settings > SMTP & API > API Keys & MCP, then click Generate a new API key. Name it after the integration (e.g., "Cohort"). In Cohort, install the Brevo app and paste the API key to connect. -
Configure the import mapping (from Brevo to Cohort)
Select which Brevo contact attributes Cohort should import as Cohort user properties, and confirm the identifier used for matching (typically email). -
Configure the export mapping (from Cohort to Brevo)
Map your Cohort user properties to your existing Brevo contact attributes, and decide whether Cohort can create and update contacts, or only update existing ones. -
Run validation checks
Validate the import on a few known contacts to confirm the values match, then validate the export by updating a test user in Cohort and confirming it updates in Brevo.
