If you need to organize your contacts, it's possible to copy or move a contact or a group of contacts from one list to another. This can help you streamline your contact management process.
However, before you begin, it's important to remember the following:
- Moving contacts to a list removes contacts from the source list and adds them to the target one. If you want to remove contacts from a list entirely, this is the option you should choose.
- Copying contacts to a list adds contacts to the target list and leaves them in the source one. If you want to add contacts to a new list but keep them in the original list as well, this is the option you should choose.
Add contacts from one list to another list
- Go to Contacts.
- Click the Load a list or a segment tab and select a list or a segment.

From this list, select the contacts that you would like to add to another list:
- To select multiple individual contacts, select the checkboxes next to the contacts.
- To select all of the contacts on your current page, select the checkbox at the top left of the table.
- To select all of the contacts on your current list or database, select the checkbox at the top left of the table and click Select all the # contacts.

Click Add to a list(s).
- In the Lists field, enter the name of one or several lists that you want to add your contacts to.
- Click Add.
Your contacts will be added to the target list(s) you selected without being removed from the source list.
Move contacts from one list to another list
- Go to Contacts.
- Click the Load a list or a segment tab and select a list.💡 Good to knowYou cannot select a segment when moving contacts. You have to select a list.

From this list, select the contacts that you would like to move to another list:
- To select multiple individual contacts, select the checkboxes next to the contacts.
- To select all of the contacts on your current page, select the checkbox at the top left of the table.
- To select all of the contacts on your current list or database, select the checkbox at the top left of the table and click Select all the # contacts.

Click Add to a list(s).
- In the Lists field, enter the name of one or several lists that you want to move your contacts to.

Check the Remove also the contacts from this list option to move the contacts to the target list AND remove them from the source list they were originally in.
💡 Good to knowThe Remove also the contacts from this list option is only shown if you have filtered your contacts based on the list(s) they are a member of. If you have applied other filters, the option won't be shown.
Additionally, note that if you have filtered your contacts based on several lists, they will only be removed from the original list you chose. - Click Add.
Your contacts will be moved to the target list(s) you selected and removed from the source list they were originally in.
