🤔 What are the classic and new Drag & Drop Editor?
It is easy to spot the difference between the two versions of the Drag & Drop Editor, you can visually spot the difference:

The classic Drag & Drop Editor is no longer be available since December 31st, 2024. Migrate your templates and campaigns to the new Drag & Drop Editor to be able to edit them.
🆕 A new version of the Drag & Drop Editor with extra features
We have revamped the Drag & Drop Editor to help you create professional and customized emails with the latest up-to-date features:
- Advanced grid system for easier layouts
- Text & block personalization
- Background image for blocks
- Full-width background for grid-elements
- Content library with access to stock images
- Possibility to create and edit your images from the content library
- Preview as a customer, preview on email clients feature accessible within the editor
- Advanced version history having the preview of the versions
- Developer mode to code custom templates
- Share and import new editor templates
- Use AI (Artificial Intelligence) to create engaging subject lines
- Connect your stores through API or Shopify to easily insert your product information in just a few clicks
The new version of the Drag & Drop Editor is automatically activated on your account, no action is needed on your side. You can access it in the same way as you accessed the classic version: during the Design step of your email campaign or template creation.
You only need to migrate your existing emails to the new Drag & Drop Editor to be able to edit them in the future and use them in your email campaigns and automations ⬇️.
🎨 Migrate your existing emails to the new Drag & Drop Editor
Depending on whether you want to migrate an email template or an email campaign, the procedure may be different. Use the tab corresponding to the type of email you want to migrate to learn how to do it:
- Go to Campaigns > Templates.
- Click Edit next to the name of the template you want to migrate.
- At the Design step, click Edit the email content. Your email template is automatically migrated to the new email editor.
- Edit your template in the new editor and enjoy the new features that it offers to create a modern and advanced email design.

To ensure your old template continues working in your automations or API calls, automatically transfer its ID to the new template you've migrated by clicking Swap IDs at the top of your migrated template:
That way, all your automations and API calls in which you were using the template you've just migrated will be replaced by the new one in just one click! - Repeat these steps for all your old templates to ensure they keep working in your automations and API calls, and enjoy advanced settings.
- Go to Campaigns > Email.
- If you want to migrate a campaign that has already been sent, click the three-dot icon > Duplicate and choose which part of your campaign you want to duplicate.
Your duplicated campaign appears at the top of your campaign list with the _copy tag. - Click the Edit icon next to the name of the campaign you want to migrate.
- At the Design step, click Edit design to access the Drag & Drop Editor. Your email campaign is automatically migrated to the new email editor.
- Edit your email in the new editor and enjoy the new features that it offers to create a modern and advanced email design.
- (Optional) Save this email campaign as a template to reuse it in email campaigns or automations:
- In the header of the editor, click the three-dot icon > Save as template.

Name your template.
- Click Save as template.
You can find this email template in Campaigns > Templates.
- Click Save & quit to save this design with the new editor.
- Repeat these steps for all your old email campaigns.
Congratulations! 🎉 Your emails are now editable in the new Drag & Drop Editor and you can access all the features that it offers!

You will be able to view those templates, but you will no longer be able to edit them in the classic Drag & Drop Editor. Migrate to the new Drag & Drop Editor to be able to edit them.
No, you won't be able to edit your templates from the classic Drag & Drop Editor. However, if you migrate your existing templates, you will be able to edit them in the new Drag & Drop Editor.
