Sender IDs approved in Spain, Austria, and Australia before registration became mandatory now show a Resubmission required status on the Settings > Campaigns > SMS Sender ID page. Find answers about why you need to resubmit, how to do it, and what happens afterward.
About Sender ID resubmission
Expand the following accordions to learn more about the status and why it appears:
Your Sender ID was approved in Brevo before registration became mandatory in the country. It now needs to be registered like any new Sender ID.
The status appears as an orange badge in your SMS Sender ID settings. Hover over it to see why it is displayed.
Fraudsters often pretend to be a bank, a delivery company, or a public body by typing a trusted name in the sender field. To stop this, regulators are creating national Sender ID registries where every sender name must have a verified owner.
Operators can block or flag messages sent with a Sender ID that is not registered. In Australia, these messages can appear as Unverified on the recipient's phone. Resubmitting protects your brand and helps your messages reach your recipients.
The Resubmission required status currently applies to Sender IDs for Spain, Austria, and Australia.
Other countries may introduce similar registries over time. To learn more, check our dedicated article Country specific guidelines and restrictions for SMS messages.
The registries need proof that a real, identifiable company owns the Sender ID. The form follows the requirements of each regulator, so the information you enter has to match your official records.
No. The Resubmission required status only appears for Sender IDs that were approved before registration became mandatory. A new Sender ID goes through the registration process directly. To learn more, check our dedicated article Register a Sender ID to send SMS messages.

Yes. Your SMS messages keep sending with this Sender ID while the badge is displayed and while your resubmission is in review. You do not need to pause your campaigns.

Yes. Each country has its own registration, so you resubmit every Sender ID that shows the Resubmission required status.
What happens after you resubmit
Expand the following accordions to learn more about the review and its possible outcomes:
The review takes about 20 days after you submit a complete request. Your Sender ID shows the In review status during this time.
Your SMS traffic switches to the new registration automatically. You do not need to edit your campaigns.
The status changes to Need info. Open the request, update the information or document requested, and submit it again.
You receive an email with the reason for the rejection. The old Sender ID stops being available, so submit a corrected request from your SMS Sender ID settings as soon as possible.
Missing or inconsistent information is the main reason for a rejection, which means losing a review of about 20 days. Make sure the details you enter match your official records, such as your company registration.
In Austria, the registered details are published, so they need to be accurate.
