The HTML custom code editor allows you to upload your own HTML file to design fully customized emails. It’s ideal if you already have an email coded by an agency, built outside of Brevo.
Before you start
- Some email clients do not support all HTML content as email HTML isn't as developed as web HTML. To avoid issues with your code in the HTML editor and block, check our dedicated article Limitations when using HTML for your email designs.
-
We recommend adding images using the
<img src= [...] >attribute rather than embedding them directly in your email.💡 Good to knowIf you do need to embed an image, insert it first and then enable the dedicated option in your campaign’s Additional settings. Keep in mind that embedded content counts toward your email size limit and can only use up to 1 MB of the 5 MB maximum.
🧑💻 Access the HTML custom code editor
To start designing with the HTML editor:
- Create an email campaign or email template and set it up.
