Before you start
- Log into your WhatsApp Business account.
- To edit your WhatsApp display name, you need a verified WhatsApp Business Account.
- In this article, we explain how to edit the display name, picture, and description of the WhatsApp phone number from which you send your WhatsApp campaign and that displays to your recipients on WhatsApp during the sending.
If you need to update your account information due to a legal change to your company name or postal address for example, you need to access your WhatsApp Business Account security center, edit your details, and submit it to the verification process again.
🏢 Edit your WhatsApp display name, picture, and details
- Access your WhatsApp Business Manager account.
- Click the WhatsApp phone number for which you want to add or edit information.
- Access the Profile tab.
- From there you can:
- Edit your WhatsApp profile picture.
- Edit your display name.
Remember that you have to follow WhatsApp Business Display Name guidelines. - Select another activity category for your business.
- Request an Official WhatsApp business account.

- Click Save at the top-right.
- Access WhatsApp on a phone or computer and open your WhatsApp profile to check your updated information. Changes may take a few minutes to display on WhatsApp.
