Manually delete contacts from your Customer Data Platform (CDP) account and automatically propagate the deletion to linked CRM sub-accounts. This ensures deleted contacts are not re-downloaded during the next data sync.
Before you start
To delete contacts from the CDP, you need a CSV file that meets the following requirements:
- Contains at least one deduplication key from your contacts dataset configuration (such as email, phone number, or any custom deduplication key).
- Can contain multiple columns, but the columns have to match a single deduplication key.
- Column header has to be the exact field name of the deduplication key in the contacts dataset.
Manually deleting contacts from your CDP has some limitations:
- Linked objects such as orders and order items associated with deleted contacts will not be deleted.
- This deletion process must be performed manually each time you have a batch of contacts to delete.
