Whether you’re an agency managing multiple clients, a large company, or a business owner needing separate access for developers, you can easily invite additional users to help manage your Brevo account.
You control what each user can access by assigning permissions based on their responsibilities, while keeping other parts of Brevo hidden. This helps maintain security and ensures everyone has the information they need.
Good to know
Only the account owner or users with permission to manage users can add and manage users.
User limits and pricing overview
The number of users you can invite to your Brevo account, the permissions you can give them, and their associated costs depend on your subscription plan. For example, inviting another user with permission to create or edit an email template is only available with a Marketing Platform - Business or Enterprise plan, not with a Starter plan.
Expand the 🔎 Summary table section to see a summary of the maximum number of users and the corresponding cost for each permission level:

Overview of the Users page
The Users page allows you to see who has been invited to access your Brevo account and manage their permissions:
- Identify your users by their Email address.
- Check the Status of your users:
Active The user has access to the account. Pending You have invited the user to join the account, but they haven't accepted or rejected the invitation yet. Rejected You have invited the user to join the account, but they have rejected the invitation or have taken more than 72 hours to accept it. - View which User role has been assigned to your users. If no user role has been assigned, the mention NA will be displayed.
✅ Plan availabilityUser roles are only available on an Enterprise plan. - Check which permissions have been given to the users for each plan:
Owner The user is the owner of the account. They have access to all the features of the plan. Full permissions The user has access to all the features of the plan, except for managing the company profile. Custom permissions The account owner determines the user’s permissions so that the user can access only specific features of the plan.
No permission The user doesn't have access to any feature of the plan. - Click Add a user to invite a new user to your account.
Add users to your Brevo account
To invite users to your account:
- Click the account dropdown and select Settings > Users.

Click Add a user.

Enter the email addresses of the users you want to invite, separated by commas.
💡 Good to knowWhen inviting multiple users at once, they will all receive the same role and permissions within your organization. To assign different roles and permissions, invite users individually. - Click Continue.

Choose which permissions to give to your users:
The users are given full permissions, except for managing the company profile.
✅ Plan availabilityUser roles are only available on an Enterprise plan.The users are being assigned an existing user role with a predefined set of permissions.

The users are given custom permissions from the following list:
General
You can give access to All general features or to specific ones only:
ContactsThere are multiple permissions for Contacts:

View
This permission allows users to view contacts and their information (attributes, lists, etc.). -
Create/edit/delete contacts
This permission allows users to create new contacts, edit their information (attributes, lists, etc.), and delete them one by one.
Note that without this permission, users cannot manage the Test list used for email campaigns. -
Import contacts
This permission allows users to import a list of contacts and edit their information (attributes, lists, etc.). -
Export contacts
This permission allows users to export contacts as a CSV file (segmented contacts export, lists export, and openers and clickers export in campaign reports).💡 Good to knowWithout this permission, users cannot download automation logs. -
Lists, segments, and attributes management
This permission allows users to create, edit, and delete contact lists, attributes, and segments. -
Contact forms
This permission allows users to create, edit, and delete contact forms.
CompaniesThere are multiple permissions for Companies:

Create/edit/delete owned companies
This permission allows users to create, edit, and delete their own companies. -
Manage companies from other users
This permission allows users to edit and delete the companies of other users. -
Settings
This permission allows users to manage companies settings.
Note that users can only have permission to manage companies of other users if they have permission to manage their own.
User managementThis permission allows users to invite additional users to the account, cancel an invitation, and customize their permissions.
Note that even without this permission, users can still view the list of users available in the account.
Senders, domains, and dedicated IPsThere are multiple permissions for Senders, domains, and dedicated IPs:

Sender management
This permission allows users to create, edit, and delete senders. -
Domain management
This permission allows users to add, authenticate, and delete domains.

Dedicated IP management
This permission allows users to purchase, set up, and manage dedicated IPs.
Note that even without these permissions, users can still view senders, domains, and dedicated IPs.
Manage plan, billing, and payment information
This permission allows users to manage the plan, billing, and payment information of the Brevo account on behalf of the account owner.
Note that with this permission, users will also be able to invite additional users to the account, cancel an invitation, and customize user permissions.
SMTP & APIThere are multiple permissions for SMTP & API:

SMTP
This permission allows users to access and use SMTP keys within the account. -
API Keys
This permission allows users to access and use API keys within the account.

Authorized IPs
This permission allows users to add and remove authorized IPs for API calls.
Marketing platform
💡 Good to knowNote that without permission for Email campaign, SMS campaign, or Templates, users can't access the Default settings and Google Analytics & Social Channel pages.You can give access to All Marketing features or to specific ones only:
Email campaignThere are multiple permissions for Email campaign:

Create/edit/delete
This permission allows users to create, edit, and delete email campaigns. -
Send/schedule/suspend
This permission allows users to send, schedule, and suspend email campaigns. Note that without this permission, users cannot requeue email campaigns.
Note that even without these permissions, users can still view email campaign previews and report data.
SMS campaignThere are multiple permissions for SMS campaign:

Create/edit/delete
This permission allows users to create, edit, and delete SMS campaigns. -
Send/schedule/suspend
This permission allows users to send, schedule, suspend, and requeue SMS campaigns.
Note that even without these permissions, users can still view SMS campaign previews and report data.
TemplatesThere are multiple permissions for Templates:

Create/edit/delete
This permission allows users to create, edit, and delete email templates. -
Activate/deactivate
This permission allows users to activate and deactivate email templates.
Note that even without these permissions, users can still see a preview of the templates.
Automation workflowsThere are multiple permissions for Automations workflows:

Create/edit/delete/share
This permission allows users to create, edit, delete, and share automations with other Brevo accounts. -
Activate/deactivate/pause
This permission allows users to activate, deactivate, and pause automations.

Settings
This permission allows users to access the Settings page, where you can find the installation procedure and script for the Brevo tracker.
Note that even without these permissions, users can still view the automations.
Facebook AdsThere are multiple permissions for Facebook Ads:

Create/edit/delete
This permission allows users to create, edit, and delete Facebook Ads. -
Schedule/pause
This permission allows users to schedule and pause Facebook Ads.
Landing pagesThis permission allows users to create, edit, publish, and delete landing pages.
Push❗️ ImportantPush permissions are only available to Enterprise users with a Wonderpush account.There are multiple permissions for Push:

This permission allows users to view push notification campaigns and associated metrics. -
Create/edit/delete
This permission allows users to create, edit, and delete push campaigns. -
Send
This permission allows users to activate push campaigns. -
Project setup and settings
This permission allows users to access and manage the setup and settings of your push projects. -
Push segments
This permission allows users to view, create, edit, and delete push segments.
Transactional
You can give access to All transactional features or to specific ones only:
Transactional emailsThere are multiple permissions for Transactional emails:

Access to all pages/manage settings
This permission allows users to access all pages under Transactional > Email and to manage the settings (SMTP configuration, transactional webhooks, etc.). -
Preview/resend/delete logs
This permission allows users to view template previews, resend transactional emails, and delete logs.
Conversations
You can give access to All conversations features or to specific ones only:
ConversationsThere are multiple permissions for Conversations:

View all chats/pick new chats/manage assigned chats
This permission allows users to view all chats, pick new ones, and manage their assigned chats. -
Manage settings/installation
This permission allows users to manage chat settings, install the chat widget, and connect email and social media.
Sales platform
You can give access to All Deals features or to specific ones only:
DealsThere are multiple permissions for Deals:

Create/edit deals
This permission allows users to create and edit their own deals. -
Delete owned deals
This permission allows users to delete their own deals. -
Manage deals and tasks of other users
This permission allows users to edit and delete the deals and tasks of other users.

Reports
This permission allows users to see the sales reports. -
Settings
This permission allows users to manage notifications, deals, and pipelines settings.
Note that users can only have permission to manage deals and tasks of other users if they have permission to manage their own.
Phone
You can give access to All phone features.

Review the summary on the checkout page and send the invitation.
💡 Good to knowIn case of additional costs, we will provide you with information about the next billing for this user and the immediate pro-rate billing between the day you invite the users and the end of your current billing cycle.
The users will each receive an invitation by email.
Edit the permissions of a user
If you want to add or remove permissions from an existing user, you can edit them:
- Click the account dropdown and select Settings > Users.
- Click the email address of the user you want to edit.
- Edit the user's permissions.
❗️ ImportantThe final set of permissions given to the user may include an additional cost. To learn more, check our dedicated section User limits and pricing overview. - Click Save the changes.
- Review the summary on the checkout page and confirm the new permissions.
💡 Good to knowIn case of additional costs, we will provide you with information about the next billing and the immediate pro-rate billing between the day you edit the permissions and the end of your current billing cycle.
Cancel or resend an invitation
Cancel an invitation
You can cancel an invitation sent to a user before they accept it:
- Click the account dropdown and select Settings > Users.
- Select the user's invitation you want to cancel.
- Click Cancel the invitation.
- You can see the monthly cost reduction and the pro-rated refund calculated from today, which will be applied on your next billing date. Click Yes, cancel to confirm.
You have canceled the invitation. The user will not be able to accept it and will not have access to your Brevo account.
Resend an invitation
In case a user cannot find the invitation you have sent them, takes more than 72 hours to accept it, or for any other reasons, you can resend it in a few clicks:
- Click the account dropdown and select Settings > Users.
- Select the user's invitation you want to resend.
- Click Resend invitation.
You have resent the invitation to the user.
Remove a user from your account
Revoke access (active user)
If you want to remove all permissions from an active user, you can revoke their access:
- Click the account dropdown and select Settings > Users.
- Select the active user whose access you want to revoke.
- Click Revoke access.
- You can see the monthly cost reduction and the pro-rated refund calculated from today which will be applied on your next billing date. Click Yes, revoke access.
You have revoked the user's access, and they won't have access to your Brevo account anymore.
Delete a user (rejected user)
If a user rejects your invitation, you can delete them from the Users page so that they don't appear anymore:
- Click the account dropdown and select Settings > Users.
- Select which rejected user you would like to delete.
- Click Delete the user.
- You can see the monthly cost reduction and the pro-rated refund calculated from today which will be applied on your next billing date. Click Yes, delete.
You have deleted the user, and they won't have access to your Brevo account.
