In Brevo, users have different permission levels based on the type of access they're given:

  • Owner: The user is the owner of the account. They have access to all the features of the account.
  • All access: The user has access to all the features of the plan.
  • None: The user doesn't have access to any feature of the plan.
  • Custom access: The account owner has chosen which permissions are given to the user. The user has access to only certain features of the plan.

With Brevo, you can customize user permissions for:

  • General features, such as contacts, API keys, and user management.
  • Marketing Platform features, such as email campaigns, templates, SMS campaigns, etc.
  • Conversations features, such as chats, settings, and installation.
  • Sales CRM features, such as tasks, companies, and deals.

💡 Good to know
You can't give access to general features only. You must select at least one permission from Marketing Platform, Conversations, or Sales CRM to continue.

Contacts

There are multiple permissions for Contacts:

  • View
This permission allows users to show/hide contacts from other users within the account.
Users without this permission are unable to view contacts within the account.
  • Create/edit/delete contacts
This permission allows users to create new contacts, edit their information (contact and transactional attributes, lists, etc.), and delete them one by one.
Users without this permission can't manage the Test list used for email campaigns.
  • Import contacts
This permission allows users to import a list of contacts and edit their information (contact and transactional attributes, lists, etc.) in bulk via import.
  • Export contacts
This permission allows users to export a CSV file of contacts (segmented contacts export, lists export, daily export, and openers and clickers export in campaign reports).
  • Lists, segments, and attributes management
This permission allows users to create/edit/delete contact lists, attributes, and segments.
  • Contact forms
This permission allows users to design and manage subscription, unsubscription, and update profile forms.
Users without this permission will not be able to access contact forms at all.

API keys

This permission allows users to access and use API keys within the account.

User management

This permission allows users to invite additional users to the account, cancel an invitation, and customize user permissions.

Users without this permission will be able to view the list of users available in the account.
