In this article, we will explain how to use and send an email template that you have created in Brevo.

Use a template for an email campaign
You can send an email campaign using an email template by creating a new campaign and selecting a saved email template or the design of a recent email campaign you created.
To send an email campaign using an email template:
- Go to Marketing > Campaigns > Email.
- Click Create campaign and choose Email.
- Setup your campaign by adding its name, sender, etc. To learn more, check our dedicated article Create an email campaign.
- At the Design step, click Start designing to open the template selection modal.
- Search for the email template design you need in the Your emails > Saved templates category that should open by default.
- Click Use template to open it.
- If necessary, edit the design of your email template.
- Once you are done, schedule the sending of your email campaign.
Use a template in an automation
The use of email templates in an automation works differently based on the editor used. Select the tab that corresponds to the automation editor you're using:
When sending an email from an automation created in the new editor, you can choose to:
- Create a new message using an existing template or from scratch. This will create a new automation message with a unique ID.
- Reuse an existing automation message to sync its design and settings across all steps that use it.

In the classic editor, you can select or create a template from the Send an email action. Any changes made to this email template will impact other messages that use the same template, as well as the original template itself.

Use a template for a transactional email
You can trigger the sending of a transactional email template using one of the following methods:
- Via the SMTP API (v3) by using the Send a transactional email call.
- Via SMTP relay, a method used by many popular plugins to deliver emails created by the plugin using our SMTP platform.
- When creating a new campaign by selecting the transactional email template during the Design step of the campaign creation.
