Requeue, duplicate, and archive email campaigns

🔁 Requeue

💡 Good to know
To learn how to resend a campaign to recipients because their email returned a soft bounce, check our dedicated section in the Resend an email campaign article.

The Requeue option allows you to resend the campaign to recipients who did not receive your campaign the first time after:

  • They were added to the list or segment of recipients after the initial sending,
    ➡️  For example
You sent your campaign for the first time to your Yoga beginners contact list that contained 100 recipients. One month later, the Yoga beginners list contains 112 contacts because 12 contacts were recently added after subscribing to your marketing communications. If you requeue your campaign, those 12 new recipients will receive it but others will not.
  • Your campaign has been suspended or paused because of unsufficient credits.
    ➡️  For example
You are on the Free Plan and programmed your campaign to be sent to 1,000 contacts, but with the daily quota, you are only able to send it to 300. Thanks to the Requeue feature, you can resume sending the campaign to the rest of your recipients list.

To requeue a campaign:

  1. Go to Campaigns > Email.
  2. Choose Suspended from the dropdown list.
  3. Click on Requeue below the campaign name you want to queue.

  4. In the pop-up window, click Confirm to requeue your campaign.

Requeue will send the campaign to the rest of the contacts in the designated list who have not previously received the campaign.

This step must be done manually each time you want to send the campaign to the rest of your list. If you are using the Free Plan, you may requeue a campaign once every 24 hours, once your next 300 emails are available to send.

❗️ Important
Never Duplicate a campaign instead of requeuing it. If a campaign is duplicated rather than Requeued, it will be considered as a new campaign and sent to contacts who have already received it.

👯‍♂️ Duplicate

Thanks to the Duplicate feature, you can copy and paste a campaign. This way, you can reuse existing content and have a consistent design in your campaigns. Besides, it saves you time from creating a new campaign all over again.

💡 Good to know
You can create email templates in Brevo to reuse each time you want to create a newsletter. Your email templates will be found in the tab My Templates at the Design step of your newsletter.

To duplicate a campaign:

  1. Go to Campaigns > Email.
  2. Search for the campaign you would like to duplicate in the list and click More ▼.
  3. Select Duplicate in the drop-down list.
