The Brevo Shopify app will be discontinued in August 2025. To improve performance and provide a better user experience, users who installed the Brevo Shopify app before May 1, 2024, will need to migrate to the new PushOwl/Brevo app by that time.
In this article, we'll walk you through the migration process from the Brevo Shopify app to the PushOwl/Brevo app.
What changes with the migration?
The only change is the app you use to connect Shopify to Brevo. Once you install the PushOwl/Brevo app, you’ll continue to have access to the same powerful features, including:

🔄 Data sync from Shopify to Brevo
Sync existing and new customers, products, and order data from Shopify to Brevo’s eCommerce dashboard. No loss of data. -
👀 Onsite tracking
Install an on-site tracker on your Shopify store to monitor visitor behavior. -
📨 Brevo's marketing features
Continue using marketing features directly from your Brevo account, such as:
- Sending email, SMS, and push campaigns to your Shopify customers.
- Adding Shopify products to your email campaigns in one click with the Product block.
- Automating campaigns for welcome series, browse abandonment, and abandoned cart emails.
There are no changes to your Brevo subscription and no additional charges to your plan.
Migrate from the Brevo Shopify app to the PushOwl/Brevo app
In the coming days, all users who need to migrate from the previous Brevo Shopify app to the PushOwl/Brevo app will receive an email with a dedicated migration link to guide them through the migration process.
Step 1. Connect your Shopify store to PushOwl
- Check your inbox and open the email from Brevo with the subject:
[Action required] Upgrade your Shopify experience using our new PushOwl & Brevo plugin
- Click the dedicated migration link in the email. You’ll be redirected to a page where your Shopify subdomain is already entered.
- Click Install PushOwl on your Shopify store.
- From the PushOwl/Brevo: Email, Push, SMS page on the Shopify App Store, click Install to add the app to your Shopify store.
- On the Install app page, click Install again to accept the required permissions.
Step 2. Configure the PushOwl/Brevo app
- On the app’s Home page, click Enable now to activate PushOwl in your store’s theme and install the Brevo tracker.
- Click Save.
- Select the Brevo list to which your Shopify customers will be synced.
- Click Confirm.
- Review the mapping of your Shopify customer data to contact attributes.
- Once you're done, click Uninstall plugin to uninstall the previous Brevo Shopify app from your Shopify store.
- The following data will begin syncing from Shopify to Brevo automatically:
- Subscriber list (all email addresses and phone numbers)
- Products
- Orders
- Customers

Events
- Product viewed
- Abandoned cart
- Checkout started
- Order created, etc.
Once your Shopify data is synced, you're done! You can continue using the marketing features available in your Brevo account.
