Insert products from your online store into your emails with the product block

This feature is only accessible to users using one of our compatible plugins or API. Connecting your online store to Brevo will give you access to the eCommerce dashboard

Create emails showcasing products from your online store using the product block in the drag and drop email editor—no copying needed. Create branded emails displaying your products exactly as they appear on your website!

💡 Good to know
Depending on your subscription plan and needs, you may want to use one of our alternative product display options:
  • Product recommendations displays a dynamic list of products from your online store to create personalized recommendations.

  • Data feed displays custom product lists that update automatically at send time. This feature is designed for our advanced customers. 

Before you start

  • The product block is only available to users using one of our compatible plugins or API.
  • You can connect only one online store per account to the Brevo eCommerce dashboard. If you have several plugins installed, the product block won't work.

What is a product block? 

When designing your email using the Drag & Drop email editor, use the product block to automatically pull product information—like images, names, and prices—directly from your online store into your email designs.

❗️ Important
The synchronization between your online store and Brevo is not automatic. To update a product from your product block with the latest information from your online store, you need to delete it and then re-insert it

The product block can pull the following information about your products:

  1. Image
  2. Title
  3. Description
  4. Price
  5. URL (button)

By default, the product's image and button are automatically linked to the product's page URL.

📦 Insert and fill in your product block 

To insert a product block into your email design:

  1. Create an email campaign or template and access the drag and drop email editor from the Design step.
  2. From the Content > Blocks section in the left panel, drag and drop the Product content block.
  3. Click the Product block you've just dragged and dropped to open its settings.
  4. Click Add product in the left panel. A modal opens to select products.

  5. Search and select the products you want to display in your email design. You can select up to 9 products.

  6. Click Add product

Congratulations! 🎉 Now that your products' information is displayed in your email design, you can choose how you want to display and design it ⬇️. 

🎨 Edit and design your product block

After inserting your product block into your email design, you may want to change how your products are displayed. For example, you can change the display order of your products, choose which information you want to display, or change the call-to-action of your products. 

Click the product block to access its settings in the left panel and edit it. You will be able to:

To rearrange the order in which your products are displayed in your product block, drag a product and move it to the desired position using the drag icon drag-icon.png:

Add or delete a product from the list 

The product block content can be edited at any moment during the design of your email. From the Product list section in the left panel, you can:

  1. Delete a product
    Click the trash icon next to the product name you want to delete.
  2. Add a product
    Click Add product to open the list of available products from your online store. Select the ones you want to add to your email. 

Choose and rearrange the products' information order

Depending on the product and the purpose of your email, you may not want to show all the information about your product or change the order in which it is displayed. 

You can either perform these changes for all your products or individually:

From the Content section in the left panel, you can:

  1. Delete product information
    Toggle off the product information you do not want to display in your product block.
  2. Change the display order of your product information 
    Drag the product information and drop it to the desired position using the drag icon drag-icon.png.
  3. Change the call-to-action (CTA) text
    In the text field under Button, enter the text you want to show on the button that your recipients can click to access the product on your online store. 

Change your product block's overall design

Change the overall appearance of your product block from its settings in the left panel:

🧱 Layout

Choose how products appear within your product block. You can choose between List and Grid:

List Grid

Products are displayed one below the other in a vertical list, ideal for showing detailed information, such as descriptions or specs.

  • Image position: Choose where your product image appears within each tile.
  • Block alignment: choose where your text should be aligned within each tile.
🖼️ Background

Change your product block background color, or add a background image to visually separate the product block or align it with your brand.

📏 Spacing

Add spacing or margin to your product block to improve readability and create breathing room around your content.

👁️ Content visibility

Apply conditions to the display of your product block to show it only to the right audience or devices. For example, display the product block only on computers or to a specific group of recipients.
