This article is only for users connecting their Brevo account to Shopify for the first time.
If you installed the old Brevo Shopify app before May 1, 2024, you need to migrate to the new PushOwl/Brevo app before August 2025.

If you're on an Enterprise plan, the PushOwl/Brevo app is available for free. To install it on your Shopify store, contact your Customer Success Manager (CSM) or our Enterprise Customer Experience team.
ℹ️ About the PushOwl/Brevo app
The PushOwl/Brevo app is available on the Shopify Marketplace with both free and paid subscription options. It allows you to:

Sync existing and new customers, products, collections, and order data from Shopify to PushOwl. -

⚙️ Install the PushOwl/Brevo app
To install from the Pushowl/Brevo app on your Shopify store:
- Go to the PushOwl/Brevo: Email, Push, SMS page on the Shopify App Store.
- Click Install to add the app to your Shopify store.

On the Install app page, click Install again to accept the required permissions.

On the app’s Home page, click Enable now to activate PushOwl in your store’s theme and install the Brevo tracker.
- Your Shopify data will begin syncing automatically. To learn more about how your data is synced, check PushOwl's documentation.

If you'd like to send emails, SMS, or web push notifications, complete the relevant onboarding steps in the app.
- If you already have a paid Brevo subscription:
- Cancel your current paid Brevo subscription. To learn more, check our dedicated article Cancel your subscription.
- Review the PushOwl/Brevo app's pricing and select a new plan that fits your needs.
⚠️ Already using the old Brevo Shopify app?
Only users who are connecting their Brevo account to Shopify for the first time need to cancel their current paid Brevo plan, if they have one.
If you installed the old Brevo Shopify app before May 1, 2024, you need to migrate to the new PushOwl/Brevo app before August 2025 while keeping your existing Brevo subscription.

🛒 Implement product alerts on your store
Automatically send email alerts to your customers when their favorite out-of-stock item becomes available again.
Activating the product alerts feature will automatically add a default Notify me! button to each out-of-stock product page on your online store, leading to a form. Your visitors can enter their email to be notified when the product is back in stock. ⬇️
To activate the product alerts option:
- In Brevo, create a back-in-stock automation to automatically send an email to interested visitors when their awaited product is back in stock.
- From your Shopify admin, access the PushOwl/Brevo: Email, Push, SMS app. Your PushOwl/Brevo dashboard opens.
- Click Email in the left panel.
- Scroll down to the Notifications section and click Activate.
- (Optional) Customize the email input field and button to match your branding and website design:
- Click the Back in stock alerts tile.
- In the Widget settings section, click Edit form.
- Click the Button, Email, and After submit buttons one by one to change the colors, text, and layout using the sidebar.
- Click Publish to propagate changes.
Congratulations! 🎉 Your back-in-stock alerts widget has been activated. Website visitors and customers who subscribe to back-in-stock alerts will automatically receive an email when the product becomes available again.
🎁 Display loyalty points and rewards on your Shopify store
Customize your Shopify store with loyalty widgets so loyalty program members can view their points and rewards directly on their profile and checkout page.
Step 1: Add loyalty widgets to your Shopify store
To add the loyalty widgets to your Shopify store:
- In Brevo, create your loyalty program. To learn more, check our dedicated article Create a point-based or cashback loyalty program.
- Go to your store settings from your Shopify admin. You can find the settings by simply typing "checkout" in the search bar.
- Select Checkout.
- Under Configurations, click Customize. You can customize both the checkout and profile pages.
- Add the loyalty widgets to the checkout page and/or customer profiles:
Display available rewards for loyalty program members directly on the checkout page.
- At the top of the page, select Checkout.
- In the Main or Order summary section, click + Add block.
- Select the PushOwl Loyalty Checkout (Members Only) widget to display points and available rewards for loyalty program members directly on the checkout page.
- (Optional) Use the arrow icons to adjust its position within the section.
- Click Save.
Your loyalty members will now see their points available rewards directly on the checkout page:
Display available points, tier description, the rewards catalog, and points history on members’ profile pages.
- At the top of the page, select Profile.
- In the Main section, click + Add block.
- Select one or more of the following widgets:

Display available points on members’ profile pages. -
PushOwl Loyalty Tier Description (Members Only)
Display membership tier on members’ profile pages. -
PushOwl Loyalty Rewards Catalog (Members Only)

Display points history on members’ profile pages.

- (Optional) Use the arrow icons to adjust their position within the section.
- Click Save.
Your loyalty members will now see their available points, tier description, the rewards catalog, and points history:
- At the top of the page, select Checkout.
Step 2: View loyalty members and their points in Brevo
You can view your loyalty members and their points directly in Brevo.
- In Brevo, go to CRM > Contacts.
- Click Add filters.

Select Loyalty, then choose the condition you want to filter your contacts by. For example, select Balance value updated and define the event with your Loyalty program name for Shopify.
- The list of contacts matching your filter will appear. Click a contact to open their profile.
- Under the Overview tab, you’ll find the loyalty event in the contact’s history. It includes details such as the date and time of the event, the loyalty program name, transaction type, and event payload.
