When visitors reach out for help, it’s reassuring for them to know who they are speaking with. A clear name and a friendly photo help build trust and increase engagement. Your name and picture are the first elements visitors will see when they open the chat widget, so it’s important to keep your profile up to date.

Each agent has access to their chat profile and can customize it if needed.
Set up your chat profile
To set up your chat profile:
- Click the account dropdown and select Settings > Inbox > Chat profile.

Enter your Name.
We recommend typing your full name or simply your first name like "Betty Duncan" or "Betty". Avoid "Betty D.".

(Optional) In the Title field, enter your role in the
company.
We recommend using a role name that makes sense to your visitors, such as Sales representative or Support team member.
❗️ ImportantIf you chose to have different support languages, you can update the Name and Title fields with the respective translations using the tabs under the fields. -
From the Photo section, click
Choose image.
You can:- Upload a picture from your computer
- Take a picture with your camera
- Select a picture from your Facebook or Instagram account
- Paste a link to an online image

[Recommended] Check the
Show me on the welcome screen in the chat window box
to display your picture and name as soon as visitors open the chat widget.
💡 Good to knowThe pictures and names of all the agents that checked this box will be visible on the chat widget when they are online.
