Filter, close, and delete conversations

Effective conversation management is crucial, particularly when using Conversations as a ticketing system. To stay organized and efficient, you can filter, close, and delete your conversations.

Filter conversations

You can filter your conversations to find the ones relevant to you, such as particular communication channels, specific topics, or markets.

💡 Good to know
By default, conversations are listed in chronological order, from newest to oldest. But you can also sort them by oldest to newest by clicking the sorting icon above your conversations.

Conversations offers a first layer of filtering through the My conversations, All conversations, Chat & social, Unassigned sections to show the corresponding conversations. However, you can filter your conversations in a more advanced way with the Search bar.

Click Search above the All conversations section. From there you can:

  1. Search for specific conversations directly in the search bar.
  2. Filter by status, assigned to, channel, date, group.
  3. Click previously used filters from the Search history to quickly reuse them.

You can also bookmark an applied filter on your browser to quickly access the conversations most relevant to you every time you open Conversations.

Close a conversation

Once you end a conversation with a visitor, you can close it to move it from your Open tab to your Closed tab. This helps you keep track of important conversations while keeping your active conversations list clean and organized.

You can close one or several conversations from:

Delete a conversation

❗️ Important
Deleting a conversation is irreversible. Before deleting a conversation, make sure that deleting it will not result in the loss of valuable information, such as an answer to a question or notes about the customer that you want to keep.

You can delete one or several conversations from the My conversations, All conversations, Chat & social and Unassigned sections.
