Getting started with Conversations API

We created a complete API documentation to let you build powerful integrations and tailor the Conversations app to your needs. Discover what our API offers ⬇️.

💬 Widget API

The Javascript API gives you complete control over the chat widget. You can go further in the customization of your chat widget by providing your visitors with a translation for your chat widget in a language not supported by Conversations or by using a custom color, position, and size for your chat widget, for example.

🔗 Backend API

If you need to control some elements of the Conversations app to fully integrate it with your system, third-party tools, or internal procedures, such as integrating Conversations with a ticketing system, the Backend API is made for you 🎉.

❗️ Important
REST API and Webhooks require technical skills to be implemented. We recommend implementing them with your developer.
  • The REST API allows you to programmatically send, retrieve and manage chat messages, among other endpoints.
  • The webhooks are for integrating Conversations with your system or third-party services, such as help desks. Whenever an event occurs in Conversations, receive the corresponding event information at the URL(s) of your choice.
