Add or remove emails from your plan

If your monthly email volume no longer meets your business needs, you can adjust your plan at any time by adding or removing emails.

Good to know

  • Only the account owner or users with permission to manage plan, billing, and payment can access the My plan page and adjust the number of emails included in the plan. To learn more, check our dedicated article Add and manage users on your Brevo account .
  • The emails included in your plan need to be used within your monthly billing period. Any unused emails expire and won't carry over to the next month.

✉️ Add or remove emails from your plan

To add or remove emails from your plan:

  1. Click the account dropdown and select My plan.
  2. Click Manage email credits.

  3. Use the slider to choose the monthly email volume for your plan. You can choose more or fewer credits than your current plan includes.
  4. Click Update your subscription to confirm.

How will I be charged when adding more emails to my plan?

When adding emails to your plan, you are charged immediately, with a pro-rated charge from the date of your purchase to your next billing date. You will then be charged on your usual billing date each month.

How will I be charged when removing emails from my plan?

When removing emails from your plan, the change will apply on your next billing date. You can use your remaining credits until then.

How can I send more than 300 emails per day on the Free plan?

The Free plan includes 300 email sends per day. The daily limit resets every day, and unused emails do not roll over to the next day.

To remove the daily limit or send more emails, you need to upgrade to a Starter, Standard, Professional, or Enterprise plan. To learn more, check our dedicated article Upgrade to a higher plan.

I cannot select a lower tier when trying to remove emails from my plan. Why?

When selecting a plan, you can choose from multiple tiers to fit your needs. Each tier includes a specific number of emails, and your chosen email volume determines both your pricing tier and the maximum number of contacts you can have in Brevo.

If you have more contacts than the limit allowed for a given tier, you won’t be able to select that lower tier. To reduce your email volume, you’ll first need to delete contacts from your account.

➡️  For example
You are on the Starter plan with 10,000 monthly email sends and 1,500 contacts storage. You want to downgrade to 500 monthly email sends and 500 contacts storage. If you currently have more than 500 contacts in your Brevo account, you won’t be able to move to this lower tier. You’ll first need to delete contacts from your account.
I want to send more emails than what is allowed in my plan. How can I do that?

If you want to send more emails than what is allowed in your current plan, you may need to upgrade to a higher plan:

Can I use my emails to send both marketing and transactional emails?
