🏠 Home page
When you log into Brevo, you'll land on your Home page. This dashboard gives you quick access to the most important actions and information, including your planning, contacts, and plan usage. The home page is designed to help you see your key metrics and jump into the tasks you need to accomplish.

The top menu is accessible from any page in Brevo. Click the account settings or the gear wheel icon ⚙️ to access the platform settings, including:

👥 CRM and contacts
The CRM section serves as the heart of your marketing efforts. Your contact database is the foundation for all your campaigns and automations.
Adding contacts
You can add new contacts to Brevo in several ways:
- Manually: Enter contact details individually through the interface.
- CSV import: Upload an existing database via CSV file.
- Integrations: Connect Brevo to another system to automatically sync contacts.

Contact attributes and segmentation
Your contact database is organized using attributes such as first name, language, or phone number. These attributes allow you to personalize your communications and segment your audience effectively.
Each contact is identified by a unique key, such as their email address or phone number, to prevent duplicates and keep your lists clean. You can customize the Contacts page to display the attributes you want to see as columns.
You can create segments using filters to target specific groups of contacts based on criteria like language, location, or behavior. Segments can be used for one-time analysis or saved for repeated use in your campaigns and automations.

Since contacts often come from forms, you can create signup forms to grow your list and manage unsubscription preferences. Forms can be embedded on your website or shared as landing pages.

The Marketing section allows you to create and send campaigns to your contacts across multiple channels. Based on your plan, you can reach your contacts through:
- Email: Design and send email campaigns
- SMS: Send text messages to mobile devices

When creating an email campaign, you can use Brevo's Drag & Drop email editor to design your message. This editor makes email creation simple with templates and design tools:
- Your emails: Access your saved templates or reuse past campaigns with successful layouts.
- Pre-built templates: Choose from basic templates with simple structures you can customize, or ready-to-use templates professionally designed for easy personalization.
You can customize your messages with various elements including text, images, buttons, personalized contact data, and more.
Before sending your email campaigns, Brevo provides several ways to ensure your email looks perfect:
- Preview across devices and systems: Check how your email appears on desktop and mobile devices, and on iOS, Android, and Windows.
- Dark and light mode: Verify that your email looks great in both display modes.
- Test emails: Send yourself a test email to see the final result before sending to your contacts.

The Automations section helps you save time and stay consistent in your communications by automatically sending messages based on contact behavior or specific triggers.
Each automation follows a simple logic: Trigger > Rule > Action. When a trigger occurs, Brevo checks a rule and takes an action:
