About the Title and Text content blocks

Within the drag and drop email editor, the Title and Text content blocks allow you to add and format written content in your email designs. Whether you want to introduce a new section, share important information, or personalize your message with your contact’s details, these blocks give you full control over how your text looks and reads.

Before you start

📝 Insert a title or text content block

To insert a title or text content block in your email design, simply drag and drop the desired block inside the email canvas:

Once the block is inserted, its settings open on the left. From there you can:

  1. Use our built-in AI assistant, Aura, to refine or generate text. 
  2. Choose your block text alignment, line spacing, and writing direction.

🎨 Customize your text with the top toolbar

The text toolbar gives you quick access to all the formatting options you need to style and personalize your Title and Text blocks. Use it to adjust your text appearance, add links, insert personalization, and create clean, structured content:

1 Use our built-in AI assistant, Aura, to generate or refine your text. Save time by creating engaging and polished copy in one click.
2 Choose a predefined style (Heading 1, Heading 2, paragraph, etc.) that you previously configured in the Style tab to save time and keep your email consistent.
3 Change your text format by applying bold or italic, or adjusting your text and background color. These options help highlight important information in your message.
4 Add links, emojis, or personalization variables such as contact attributes, event data, or data feed directly to your text. Perfect for making your emails interactive and tailored to each contact.
5 Choose your text alignment to improve readability and structure. Choose to align your text to the left, center, right, or justify it.
6 Insert bulleted or numbered lists to help break information into clear, scannable points.
7 Increase or decrease the indent to organize content within lists or nested elements.
8 Remove formatting and revert text to its default style. This can be useful if pasted text carries unwanted styling.

🔗 Add a link under a text

You can make any word or sentence in your text clickable by inserting a link. This is useful for directing readers to a webpage, email address, phone number, or downloadable resource.

To insert a link under your text: 

  1. Select the text to which you want to add a link. 
  2. In the top toolbar, click the 🔗 Add link icon. The Insert/edit link dialog box opens.

  3. In the Type of link drop-down, choose which type of link you want to add under your text:

    External links
    • Absolute link (URL)
      This is the basic option for links, choose this one to add a URL.
    • Email link (mail-to)
      Add a link to an email address.
    • Click-to-call phone number (tel)
      Add a link to a phone number.
    Standard links
    • Unsubscribe link (global)
      The unsubscribe link is automatically added to the footer of your campaigns. It's a link that recipients can click to open your Brevo unsubscribe page and stop receiving your emails. Having an unsubscribe link in your campaigns is mandatory as it is essential to your contacts and for the proper functioning of your campaigns.

    • Double opt-in link 
      Add a double opt-in link to your email template if you want your recipients to confirm their subscription to your emails after filling in your sign-up form.

    • View in browser
      The mirror link can be added to the header of your campaigns. It's a link that recipients can click if they have trouble viewing your email in their inbox and want to open your email as a web page. Having a mirror link in your campaigns is not mandatory.

    • Update your preferences
      Brevo offers an Update profile form to help you collect updated information about your subscribers, such as their details, preferences, and even which lists they want to be subscribed to. We recommend including a link to this form in the footer of all of your emails to help subscribers share their preferences with you. 
      Your profile update form will be automatically added in your email campaign's additional settings as explained here
      If you're creating an email template, you need to manually add the link to the Update your preferences form.

    Brevo links
    Anchor links
    • Relative link (to anchor)
      Once you've created your anchor in your campaign, use this option to link to the anchor.
      For example, going back to a specific part of the newsletter at the top of the page.
    • Anchor for relative links
      Create an anchor somewhere in your campaign and then use the relative link option to link to that anchor.

  4. In Link target, depending on the type of link you chose, enter a URL, select a link, or enter any needed information. 
  5. (Optional) Click the {} Add variable icon to personalize your URL with a contact attribute, event data, or data feed variable.
  6. (Optional) Add a link title to display a tooltip that describes the link’s destination to your recipients when they hover their mouse over it.
  7. Click Insert.

📏 Change your text font, size, format, or color

Adjust your text’s font, size, formatting, and color to make your emails visually engaging and perfectly aligned with your brand:

{ } Add personalization variables (contact attribute, event data, and data feed)

Personalization allows you to tailor your email content to each recipient by inserting information such as a contact’s first name, details from their last event, or content pulled from a data feed. 

To insert a variable, click the { } Add variable icon in the top toolbar and choose which variable you want to insert:

✅ Create a list of items

Adding lists helps your readers scan your email more easily and focus on important details. 

To create a bulleted or numbered list, click Bullet list or Number list in the top toolbar depending on your needs, and select the type of bullet or number you want to use:
